Why Your Gas Cap Could Be a $0 Fix
Seriously. About 1 in 10 check engine lights is just a loose gas cap triggering an EVAP code. Tighten the cap until it clicks 3 times, drive for a day, and the light may reset on its own. If it doesn't reset after 3 drive cycles, bring it in — the gas cap itself may be damaged and we can replace it for $15-$25 vs a full EVAP diagnosis.
